My wife says a small pillow helps A LOT!! Her first ride on the back of a bike was from Portland, OR to Sturgis, SD (approx 1200 miles each way) and the pillow made a world of difference. Of course this was on a HD which is far superior to the Savage in every way ;-)
A previous passenger had no trouble on a 300 mile trip on my old '87 Savage but she had ridden her own bike for several years so was used to them.
Keep on ridin' even with a pillow
